Rare Parts' Dual Load Carrying Ball Joints are designed to balance the radial and axial load of the Jeep on the Wheels and Steering Knuckles. Many Jeep models steer the front wheels using traditional "Upper and Lower" Ball Joints. The OE Lower Ball Joint carries the entire load of the vehicle while the OE Upper Ball Joint is an unloaded follower-joint.

Our Load-Carrying Upper Ball Joint features a reinforced PTFE-Epoxy Bearing for radial steering support with an adjustable threaded Pre-Load Cap to set axial load. Our Heavy-Duty Lower Ball Joint includes an all-steel design featuring a 32mm Full-Ball Stud with Powder-Metal Bearing.

Top quality fantastic product

I have a 1993 Jeep Grand Cherokee that I use for overland style wheeling and camping in Utah. I was running ball joints from another major manufacturer that had failed and had massive amounts of play resulting in wander and bad tire wear. I did some research and found a few premium ball joint brands but none to the level of Rare Parts. I reached out to a buddy that races Ultra 4 in a Jeep Cherokee and also runs Rare parts ball joints. He had nothing but great things to say and I’m very happy to agree. These ball joints are fantastic! Very tight with no play but no unnecessary resistance either. The fact that the upper is able to share the load with the lower makes the service life that much better! I’m 100% convinced these ball joints will outlive the d30 they are installed in. Definitely don’t hesitate to install these in your Jeep
