Special projects arrive daily at Rare Parts Inc.
One of our latest projects was a ball joint taken from a 1959 Lotus 16 F1
Race Car. This ball joint appeared to be a tie rod end
but it was not. The customer wanted Rare Parts to make an exact
replica of the original ball joint, so we did...
The ball joint housings were ground to match the original, the studs were turned on
our CNC lathe and heat treated to specs, the cover plate even required
us to make a special stamping tool to stamp the cover plate
making it appear as the original. |
